Members of the U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council gathered this week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for the organization's 66th Annual Board of Delegates meeting, with discussions centered on global market development, trade policy and future program priorities.
The annual meeting brings together council members to examine opportunities for expanding markets for U.S. grains and bioproducts while addressing trade challenges, strengthening supply chains and reviewing the organization's international programs.
The conference agenda included a panel on advancing U.S. trade and agricultural priorities moderated by USGBC CEO Ryan LeGrand. Panelists included U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Julie Callahan and U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary Luke Lindberg. Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Secretary Randy Romanski also delivered a presentation, and attendees participated in discussions on the global trade policy outlook.
Throughout the event, advisory team and sector meetings are providing members with opportunities to develop recommendations for the board on future USGBC programs and organizational priorities.
The meeting is scheduled to conclude Friday with the Board of Delegates meeting, financial, advisory team and sector reports, and a vote to elect new members to the council's board of directors.
